Summary of story:

 A decorated marine tells his wife his story of being discovered as the voice of Bambi. He went through most of his service not being discovered until a month before he was going to retire. He explains how his life was different than he imagined it would be.

Why did you choose this story?

 I loved the movie Bambi when I was little and just recently re-watched it.

 

 

How did this story touch you or connect with your life?

 Who doesn't love Bambi? Bambi was my favorite movie when I was young.

 

What surprised you in the story or what did you learn that you did not know before?

 The guy who voiced Bambi is still alive!

Why did you choose this story?

 I watched American Horror Story; Freak Show last year and the title reminded me of it.

 

 

 

How did this story touch you or connect with your life?

 It's amazing that a baby the doctor thought wouldn't live would still be alive today after being born in 1920.

 

 

 

What surprised you in the story or what did you learn that you did not know before?

 you could pay to see babies for 25 cents.

 

What questions did the interviewer ask?

"How do you feel that people paid to see you?"

"How did your parents know about the incubators?"

1) The picture made me laugh.

 

 

2) It was something I'm not very familiar with so I wanted to learn more.

 

 

3) I was curious after reading the title.

It was a story about how a certain type of frog chooses it's mate. Scientists tried to predict which male frog the female frogs would choose. After hearing both male calls the scientists added a third 'inferior' male call which made the female frogs choose the frog they originally rejected.

I know a lot of girls who have to 'choose' between guys and they think they have figured it out and then someone else comes into the picture and messes things up for the girl and she ends up choosing someone different then she originally thought.
